Winchester’s Sportsmans Outfitters was founded in 1995 on the North side of Longview in the small community of Spring Hill. Greg & Gary Winchester, the founding members, Started out in a 1000 Sqft section of a Retail Building on Gilmer Road, Repairing Rods & Reels and Selling Fishing Tackle. Throughout the Middle to Late 90’s the Business Morphed into not only a Fishing Store but a Hunting Store as Well, Carrying Archery Equipment, and Eventually Guns and Shooting Equipment. Gary Winchester left the Business in 1998, Leaving Greg Winchester as Sole Owner of the Business. In 2000 Greg Winchester married Shelly Harman from Georgetown, Texas and from there on, Winchester’s Sportsmans Outfitters paved their way to a Full Blown Sporting Goods Store.
